Spring Cleaning

A couple of days ago, as I was getting ready for work, I happened to look up at the ceiling. And saw this unbelievably large, black and simply nasty looking cobweb tendrils hanging right from the ceiling and almost down to my bed.
"So spider has liver and effrontery to weave webs right on top my head. E no dey fear face "? That was my first thought. And then,

"Ah ah! I'm not a dirty somebody na! I used to do cleanup every saturday"

Then the sensible me, the one that makes rare appearances said to me,
" When was the last time you looked up? When was the last time you cleaned upandan abi the ceiling no follow for part of the house"?
Hm! See question o!

Now this is the simple truth about life and how we live it. We service the obvious needs in our life; work, school, church...but we often neglect other equally important parts. The innate talents God gave to us; our spiritual growth; those seemingly innocuous things that make us happy and complete. We forget to look up. We fail to work and improve on those skills, to build our faith, to do the little things that make us happy and complete.
For the periods we fail to look up, we lose our zeal and passion, the enemy creeps in and plants unbelievable filth in our religious journey and we just exist from day to day. Even when we can have an all round wholesome life, we are content with the 'little corner' of our life that seems clean.
Look up now ! What do you see?
