Joy Interruptus

The music was stuck in my head. It was dusk; the sun was rapidly going down and there were just a few cars left in the park. It started from a hum and grew to a full belt.
I was singing on top of my voice. I sang louder than the car radio. I threw my hands in the air and twirled.

The man gave me a weird look as he drove past.
'She don kolo" I overheard the fat lady as she got into her car and also quickly drove off. They didn't want to be witnesess to fresh insanity.

I didn't care. I kept on twirling. Round and round I went with my hands in the air. This was joy. Gravity had nothing on me. As I twirled, I rose to my toes; Then I was suddenly lifted into the air!  I was like a propeller, poised and elegant.

It was magical. Time ceased. I was 2 feet above the air . I could see the world pass by so fast as my pirouette slowed down to a slow motion. I didn't stop singing. I kept on rising. I was now about 4 feet above the ground.  I didn't ever want to leave the park. I could dance here all night. No. I could dance here forever...

That was when my phone rang and I woke up.
And it was even a nonsense person calling...
Mtshew!
